The person behind the planning

The Shared Table was born from a simple belief: every gathering deserves care, regardless of size or budget.

Who we are

Built for the gatherings most planners won't touch.

The Shared Table exists for the intimate ones, the meaningful ones — events that don't need a ballroom but still deserve thoughtful planning. We specialize in smaller-scale gatherings where the details matter most, so you can walk in as the host and leave as the memory-maker.

No minimum spends. If you just want a beautifully set table scape and Cassie's available, she's your person.

I started The Shared Table because I believe the people you love deserve more than a Pinterest board and a prayer. When you work with me, you get one person who cares as much about your gathering as you do.

— Cassie, Founder of The Shared Table

Cassie’s Story

A host at heart.

I'm a Chicago-based event planner, mom, and the person who will answer your texts, remember your vision, and make sure everything is exactly right before the first guest arrives.

I know how easy it is to lose yourself when you become a mom — and in turn, how much it fills up your cup just to gather with your friends. But sometimes even having people over can feel overwhelming when you've been cleaning up cheerios and bananas off the floor all day. That's exactly why I do this. You deserve to show up at your own gathering and just be present.

When you work with The Shared Table, you're not handed off to a coordinator you've never met. You get me — from the first call to the last candle.

What Sets Us Apart

One point of contact, always

You work directly with Cassie — not a team you've never met. She remembers the details so you don't have to.

What you can always count on.

No gathering too small

No minimums, no gatekeeping. If it matters to you, it matters to us — whether that's a dinner for eight or a full backyard celebration.

Details handled, stress gone

From the pens for the guestbook to the tray for the champagne toast — we handle the things you'd forget so you never have to.

Fill out the intake form

Tell us about your event — the important details, the vibe you're going for, and anything else on your mind. We'll use this to make the most of our first call together.

Initial discovery call

We talk through all the details and Cassie shares ideas she's already thinking about for your event. No pressure — just a conversation to see if we're the right fit.

Proposal, mood board + invoice estimate

Following your call, Cassie will brainstorm how to bring your vision to life and share a full proposal — complete with a mood board and invoice estimate so you know exactly what to expect.

Agreement + budget approval

Review and confirm you're ready to move forward by signing the agreement and approving the proposed budget — both sent alongside the proposal.

Deposit — it's official

Once your agreement and budget are confirmed, you’ll submit the deposit to make things official. Your date is locked in.

Your shared planning space

We'll set up a shared virtual workspace and give you access to watch the planning come together behind the scenes. You're in the loop at every step — no wondering, no chasing.

Planning calls

Depending on the complexity of your event, Cassie will schedule one or more planning calls to finalize details and make sure everything is exactly right.

Day-of setup

On the day of your event — or the day before if needed — Cassie comes to set everything up. You get ready, enjoy the anticipation, and walk in to a space that's already exactly what you imagined.

Breakdown + wrap up

After the event, Cassie will help with breakdown or schedule a time to pick up any rented items. You focus on the memories — she'll handle the rest.
